Sampson's is a splendid 7 bedroom house set on a private Cumbrian Estate in the Eden Valley. With a huge open plan kitchen and family sized AGA, this much loved home is perfect for enjoying the very best of Cumbria and it's local produce.

Reached by a private lane, the only sound is the splash of trout in the River Eden. Ideal for family and friends, children can explore freely whilst you relax on the squishy sofas in the living room by the huge open fire. There are much loved antiques, books galore and pale wooden floors with brightly covered kilims. Seagrass carpets lead up to the bedrooms which are all individual, full of light and have views across the surrounding fells. The gardens have splendid lawned areas for kicking a ball around. Private Fishing can be booked in advance at a daily rate.

The pretty market town of Penrith and the north lakes are only a short drive away but, with this glorious valley on your doorstep, you probably won't venture too far.

Sampson's can be reached by either car or train (Lazonby village is on the Settle-Carlisle line. Leaving the M6 at Junction 41 (from the South or Junction 42 from the North), follow the A6 to the village of Plumpton. Follow signs for Lazonby. In Lazonby village drive under the railway bridge and take the first turn on the left - after the Church. Sampson's is approximately 2 miles along this road - look out for a gate marked "Route 2" and then turn down the drive to the house.
