Make Your Own Wooden Catapult or Sword

Make Your Own Wooden Catapult or Sword

Details

Come and make your very own wooden catapult or sword. We’ll teach you how to use traditional woodworking tools safely and give you some great skills in green woodworking. Find out how swords and catapults were made in the past and see how far you can fire a missile on our catapult firing range. Can you hit the bulls eye? Our workshops use sustainably sourced hazel coppiced locally in Cumbria and whilst being great fun also aim to be educational. They are suitable for children aged 5 upwards, although we do ask in the interests of safety for each child to be supervised by a responsible adult. Woodstone Learning is a small company based in Cumbria which delivers inspiring environmental education, geography fieldwork and green woodworking workshops for schools and families.
