Details

Make a large, spacious Tote bag with leather handles and an open top with a magnetic snap closure with Emma Redfern from 'Hole House Bags'.

Participants will need to bring half a metre of both an outer fabric (heavy weight, curtain fabric is good or perhaps heavy linen) and a lining fabric (quilt weight cotton or cotton lawn) If the outer fabric has a large pattern, a metre would be better to allow for pattern matching. Please also bring matching thread, fabric scissors, pins, ruler and a hand sewing needle also helpful. You should also have a zipper for for your machine in addition to a regular foot. Emma can show you how to change the feet if you are not sure! Emma will provide any zips and interfacing plus extra fabric for pockets. If you choose the leather handles (12.00 per set) and a magnetic snap (£2.50) these material cost are payable directly to Emma on the day.
