This stunning setting, with Blencathra mountain range as a magnificent backdrop to any Company Away Day. Rookin House has been established for over 25 years and has the experience, staff and facilities required to host your event.

Rookin House offers a fantastic range of activities, from Rifle Shooting and Quad Bike Trekking to team based challenges such as Blindfold Reverse Steer 4x4 Driving and bespoke Teamwork Development Packages. All of these can be tailor made to suit your requirements with programmes lasting from a half day up to a full week. The team building events can focus upon specific work related issues such as aspects of leadership, communication, delegation etc. With such a variety of activities, Rookin House can offer action packed quality events at very reasonable rates.

Also on offer are group themed events, some of which are based round the Lakes; The Quest for The Holy Grail and The Derwentwater Challenge. These Team-building Events involve a journey around Ullswater or Derwentwater with various challenges along the way.

More traditional Lakeland activities including canoeing, ghyll scrambling, rock climbing and abseiling can also be built into your development day.

Blencathra View accommodation is a beautifully converted 16th Century Barn that sleeps up to 18 guests. As well as a great place to retreat after your day's event with its traditional fireplace and under floor heating it is also the perfect venue for a conference as it has a superb open plan dining room and lounge.
Our Riverside Croft can also be hired as a conference meeting room if you are just visiting for the day and require meeting facilities. Various delicious catering options are available.

So, whether you require a purely fun multi-activity corporate away day, a competitive team challenge or a more serious team-building event Rookin House can cater for your requirements.
