Honister Via Ferrata - Classic & Via Ferrata + Zip at Honister Slate Mine
Huge in Europe, particularly in The Alps and Dolomites, Honister's Via Ferrata is a first for England and the The Lake District! Allowing the average man, woman or child from the street the opportunity to reach higher and further from the street than they ever thought possible!
All equipment is provided and you are securely attached to a cable which guides you along and up the precipitous edge of the mountain to its summit at 2,126 feet. The views are awesome!
All participants on Honister's Via Ferrata must attend a safety briefing/familiarisation training prior to starting their adventure.
Minimum age of 10 yeras or more than 1m 30.

Take A66 to Keswick. Arriving in Keswick drive on the B5289 signposted Borrowdale valley and Rosthwaite. Drive on this road for approximately 10 miles. Honister Slate Mine is situated at the top of the pass on the left.
