Trout Fishing Hawkshead

Esthwaite Water is the finest loch style trout fishery in the Lake District, famous for its top of the water sport. It is stocked regularly throughout the season with fighting fit Rainbow and Brown trout and is set in truely spectacular scenery. Methods include fly, spinning and worm and the fishery is open year round.

Esthwaite Water Trout Fishery boasts a fully stocked tackle shop and onsite cafe. We also offer fly fishing tuition and guided fishing sessions. Also we go out of our way to encourage novice fishing deals with full tackle hire, as well as childrens fishing and general family fun.

From October 1st until March 31st, we allow fishing for our legendary pike which grow to nearly 40 pounds and from November 1st until February 28th, we offer a general coarse permit to fish for the many species which inhabit this beautiful lake, including Roach, Rudd, Perch, Bream, Eels, Tench and Gudgeon.
