Dean Barwick MTB Challenge

Dean Barwick MTB Challenge

Details

This is our 7th Dean Barwick Mountain Bike Challenge. Based in and around the Witherslack/Whitbarrow area this is a unique opportunity to ride some fantastic trails and singletrack – many of the tracks are open to the public for this event only and cross private land.

This event is made possible by the kind support of local landowners and other trail users, we thank all our participants for riding accordingly. There are 2 options on offer, a 25km loop and a longer 40km trail. Both are non-competitive and although all riders are timed prizes are allocated on a lottery system based on random race numbers at the finish. This year we have some fantastic prizes on offer from our new title sponsor – Lakes Cycles. Entry includes food and refreshments at the finish and all profits go directly to playground developments at school. First Aid cover is provided by Kentdale First-Aid. Under 16s are welcome to ride either course so long as they are accompanied by an adult.
