1pm - 9pm with after parties running until the early hours
Two live stages, hot food, free kid’s activities, bar from Tractor Shed Brewing, fairground rides, after parties in the bars and clubs of Cockermouth.
In 2015, the first Northbound Festival was held at Wellington Farm as a three day boutique music event to fill the gap in the market left by Cockermouth Rock Festival.
The festival brought national headline acts such as Public Service Broadcasting, Dub Pistols, The Beat and Sunshine Underground to West Cumbria, alongside showcasing the incredible local musical talent the area has to offer.
Throw in the Unknown Dome with its cabaret, comedy and all things weird and wonderful; interactive kids area from award winning angel gardens plus much more, the feedback from the event was 100% positive.
However, following the floods of storm Desmond that had devastating effects across the county, Northbound Street Party was born...
CN Events along with partners Allerdale Borough Council with help from the Local Enterprise partnership flood fund, brought the festival from the fields to the streets to assist the local businesses on their road to recovery and produced a one Street Party that ran from 11am to 9pm.
With live music on two stages on Main Street, local brewery the Tractor Shed bar, a range of market and food stalls, and a dedicated children’s area with free activities, the event was a roaring success.
STREET PARTY 2017
The 2017 event will be held on Saturday the 5th August. Entry to the festival is free, and once the fun is finished on Main Street, there will once again be a series of “after parties” held in Cockermouth’s many pubs and clubs, with something to suit every taste.
