Cross Bay Walk

A great experience with fantastice views !!

Details

Take part in a sponsored walk from Arnside to Grange-over-Sands, led by Cedric Robinson MBE, the Queen's Guide to the Sands.

Not only will you be raising money for local wildlife but you can also enjoy spectacular scenery and experience a special opportunity to cross the sands with an expert guide.

Come with your family, friends or on your own: everyone is welcome! The walk is around 8 miles long and adults must be prepared to carry children when they are tired and at the crossing of the estuary. The terrain is not suitable for pushchairs or buggies.

Participants are asked to arrange their own transport after the walk. The walk will end at Kents Bank Station, on the Furness line. For details on trains, please visit http://www.nationalrail.co.uk or call 03457 48 49 50.

There are various taxi companies in Grange-over-Sands – you are advised to book taxis well in advance.

Registration is at 11:30am for a 12:30pm start.

Booking is required. You can either complete a Cross Bay Walk Challenge 2017 entry form online, call us on 01539 816300 or mail@cumbriawildlifetrust.org.uk to reserve a place.

Registration Fee £12.50 for adults and £7.50 for each child. The registration fee includes a free T-shirt, plus an official certificate from Cedric Robinson MBE for every participant. A sponsorship form will be sent upon booking.
