Ringhouse self-catering cottages are open all year, and set in the beautiful unspoilt Woodland Valley close to both Coniston and Broughton-in-Furness. The cottages retain an unrivalled atmosphere of calm and peace in a rural setting and yet are within easy driving distance of the popular tourist centres. Ringhouse is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday or short break. In addition for the more adventurous we can arrange a full range of activities. Woodland consists of a broad valley of woods, meadows and scattered dwellings. There are many beautiful walks to be taken right from the cottage door. Broughton-in-Furness offers a grocery and butchers shop, a bakery, post office, garage, several traditional pubs, cafes and a restaurant. Ringhouse Cottages created from an 18thC Lakeland farm. Surrounded by garden and meadowland, the cottages can sleep from 2 to 6 people. All are centrally heated and 2 of the cottages have log fires. The owners live on site. Cottages can be rented for a week or more from Fri to Fri or Mon to Mon. Additionally short breaks from Fri to Mon and Mon to Fri are available all the year round except for christmas and new year. The price is inclusive of bed linen, towels, electricity, central heating, use of the laundry and videos in the video library, every cottage has their own video recorder. The kitchens are fully equipped. Logs and coal are also included in this price for the open fire in Church and Farm Cottage. In fact all you need to bring to Ringhouse for your holiday is your food and drink. There are lots to do in the area and in each cottage is a book with local walks entitled 'Walks From our Backdoor'. The resident proprietors are on hand if you need any help during your stay.
