Weekday bus tours to Hadrian's Wall.
This tour introduces you to many of the best views along the route of Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site passing Lanercost Priory and Banks Turret. There will be a short stop to view the Wall remains at Birdoswald Fort. The guided tour then follows the Wall route into Northumberland National Park showing the remains of the Vallum at Cawfields and finally an option to visit the Fort and Museum at Vindolanda or to climb up to explore Housesteads Fort.
Depart from and return to Tullie House Museum (opposite Carlisle Castle).
Saturday bus tours to Hadrian's Wall.
The Saturday Tour Guide will guide you through Brampton to the Irthing Valley where we there will be the opportunity to visit Hadrian’s Wall Information Centre at Lanercost Tearoom and Gift Shop. The 12thC Lanercost Priory is just a short walk away. The tour will continue to Banks Turret to get super views south across the Valley to the Pennines, following the Wall to Birdoswald Fort, with the chance to walk alongside the quarter mile remains of the Wall.
Depart from Court Square (outside Citadel Railway Station). Return to station (on request) otherwise Tullie House Museum.
Weekday Tour - Adult £15 Child £7 (age 5-15). Saturday Tour - Adult £12 Child £5 (age 5-15).
