Kayaking at Platty + Limited

Kayaking offers a cheap and versatile way of getting on the water. If you hire a kayak, they are great for a potter around, a picnic on one of the islands or a scenic trip around the lake.
If you want to get technical you can concentrate on your personal skills and let our instructors guide you through a BCU award.
We are a British Canoe Union approved centre and AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority) licenced provider for kayaking allowing us to take groups of under 18's.

From Keswick take B5289 Borrowdale Road down the east side of Derwentwater. Three miles from Keswick on the right-hand side is the Mary Mount Hotel. The hotel will kindly allow us to use their car park, please drive slowly and carefully. Walk to the bottom of the car park, through the garden, across the footbridge and across the field to find ud. Please be quiet, in consideration of the hotel guests.

Alternatively catch the Keswick Launch to the Lodore jetty, stop 3.
