From M6 jct 40 follow A66 towards Keswick to the Crosthwaite roundabout, turn left following the signs for Borrowdale A5289, turn left at T-junction. Turn right at mini-roundabout, straight across next mini -oundabout, turn right at next mini-roundabout onto Borrowdale Road A5289. Follow this road for 3.3 miles. After passing Borrowdale Hotel, Leathes Cottage is about 200 metres on the left. The 79 bus travels from Keswick to Seatoller. Get off the bus at Borrowdale Hotel.
