Details

Mill Brow is a Lakeland farm dating from circa 1650, situated at Skelwith Bridge, gateway to the very scenic Great Langdale valley. It is 2.5 miles from Ambleside just off A593. The farm is surrounded by 35 acres of land with a small herd of pedigree Limousin cattle and some sheep.
Mill Brow cottage offers rather special 2-bedroomed accommodation and has been created from a traditional stone barn retaining the character and old beams. It is tastefully furnished and superbly appointed and is quietly situated away from the road, with a pleasant outlook over fields and Loughrigg Fell beyond. There are lowland and fell walks from the door.
The dining kitchen is fitted with chestnut units and is fully equipped. The cosy sitting room has an open fire, Oct - Apr and SKY digital TV with both Sky Sports and Movie packages. Free Wi-Fi is also available at the property. Two pretty bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin, have pine furniture and co-ordinated bed linen and curtains. The spacious bathroom has a bath with electric shower over.
Patio with garden furniture. Parking for 2 cars. Hotel restaurant and bar meals 400yds away. Central heating, coal, logs, electricity, bed linen, towels, cot and high chair are included in the tariff.
Resident owners personally clean and maintain the cottage to a high standard.
