Cycling Along The Grasmere Trail - Guided Cycle

Cycling Along The Grasmere Trail - Guided Cycle

Details

A guided cycle ride led by trained volunteer Lake District National Park Rangers. You will be guided on a traffic-free route out of Ambleside onto quiet minor roads and bridleways to the shores of Rydal Water and Grasmere. Take in the dramatic landscape without the hills and traffic. The final destination is the historic village of Grasmere - William Wordsworth's home. Here, there will be time to have a drink and a bite to eat in one of the many cafes.

For the return we retrace the trail but the views are quite different in this direction – but equally rewarding.

The ride is ideal for active families (minimum age 10 years) and leisure cyclists who enjoy getting away from roads. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

If you need a bike local bike hire near the start of the ride is available from Ghyllside Cycles, Ambleside.
